Visiting the practice

Demo content — Northline Family Dental is a fictional practice built to demonstrate the KeoCodes Site Engine. The address, phone number, hours and policies below are invented, no call or request from this site reaches anybody, and nothing here is medical advice.
Where we are, when we are open, what the parking is like, how to get in without stairs, and what to do if something breaks at nine on a Sunday night.

Getting here, and getting in

Parking and buses

  • A free lot behind the building, entered from Willow Lane rather than Northline Avenue. Twenty-two spaces, two of them accessible bays beside the rear door.
  • Street parking on Northline Avenue is two hours, metered until 6 p.m.
  • The 14 and 27 buses stop one block north, outside the library.
  • If the lot is full, come in and say so. We will hold your slot while you find a space rather than start the clock without you.

Getting into the building

  • We are on the ground floor. No stairs from either entrance, and the rear door from the parking lot is step-free.
  • Doorways and both restrooms take a wheelchair, and one treatment room is set up for a chairside transfer.
  • Assistance animals are welcome anywhere in the practice.
  • English and Spanish are spoken at the desk and in the treatment rooms. For any other language, tell us when you book and we will arrange a phone interpreter for the appointment, at no cost to you.
  • Needing a quiet arrival, a longer appointment, or a hand getting in from the car is an ordinary request. Say so when you book and we will plan for it rather than improvise on the day.

If it is a dental emergency

Call the front desk on (555) 012-4400. During office hours you reach a person, and we hold appointments every weekday morning for people who have broken something or need to be seen today. Outside office hours the recording gives you the on-call number.
For a serious injury, swelling that is affecting your breathing or your swallowing, or bleeding you cannot stop, do not wait for a call back — go to an emergency room or call your local emergency number.
Please do not send an urgent problem through a web form or the patient portal. Those are read once or twice a business day by administrative staff, and never in the evening or at a weekend.

The questions the front desk gets most

Do you take my insurance?
We are in-network with several PPO plans, and we file claims for patients either way as a courtesy. Call the desk with the name of your plan and we will tell you whether we are in-network with it. What a plan actually pays depends on your policy and your remaining annual maximum, so nobody here will quote you a figure before your insurer confirms one.
What if I do not have insurance?
Everything on the price list is the same price whether you have a plan or not. Larger courses of treatment can be split across several payments — ask at the desk when you are handed your written estimate, not afterwards.
How do I move my records from another dentist?
Give us the practice name and sign the release we hand you, and we request your chart and recent images from them directly. That keeps your records off email and out of this website. It usually takes a week or two, and it is not a reason to delay booking.
Can I bring my children to my own appointment?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we will either run the two visits back to back or make sure somebody is free at the desk. There is a low table and a box of books in the waiting room, and nobody here minds noise.
What happens if I am running late?
Call. We would much rather move you than give you half a visit. A missed appointment with less than twenty-four hours notice is charged at $50, because a long slot we cannot refill is a real cost to a small practice — but a phone call on the day is not the same thing as not turning up, and we do not treat it the same way.
Can I email you my forms?
Please do not. Health history, medications, plan ID numbers and dates of birth belong on paper handed to the front desk, or on a phone call. Email and web forms are not a private channel and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Scheduling and billing questions are fine to send.
Is Northline Family Dental a real practice?
No. It is fictional, and this site is a demonstration of the KeoCodes Site Engine. The address, phone number, hours, staff and prices are all invented, and nothing sent from this site reaches anybody.

Ready to book?

Ask for a time that suits you.

Send a request with a couple of windows that work and we will call back, usually the same working day. If it is urgent, please phone instead — that is faster, and it always will be.
