Two things change this month

We added an evening block on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we turned on appointment requests through this site. Both come from the same complaint we have heard for years: the only time you can call us is the same time you are supposed to be at work.

The evening block

Tuesdays and Thursdays we now see patients until 7 p.m. The last cleaning slot starts at 6:15 p.m. Two hygienists and one dentist are on for the evening, so it is a smaller crew than midday, which means a few things in practice:

  • Cleanings, exams, fillings, and crown seats are all available in the evening.
  • Longer surgical appointments stay on the daytime schedule.
  • If something in the evening turns out to need more time than we booked, we will finish what is comfortable to finish and bring you back rather than rush it.

Our other days are unchanged: Monday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Requesting a time online

The New Patients page now has an appointment request form. It is a request, not a live calendar — someone from the front desk confirms it, usually the same business day, and by the end of the next business day at the latest.

You give us four things:

  1. Your name.
  2. A phone number or email, and which one you prefer we use.
  3. Two or three windows that work for you.
  4. Optionally, a sentence about what brings you in.

That fourth one is genuinely optional, and it is there so we can book the right length of appointment — a cleaning and a chipped tooth need different amounts of chair time. Please keep it general. Do not send symptoms, medications, treatment history, or anything you would consider private health information through this form. A web form is not a secure medical channel, and we do not want it to become one. "Routine cleaning," "new patient," or "something is bothering me" tells us everything we need in order to reserve time.

If it is easier to just tell us on the phone, that is still completely fine.

What is not changing

Emergencies still go through the phone, not the form. If you are in real pain or something broke today, call the office. During business hours you will reach a person. After hours the outgoing message has the on-call number.

New patients can also fill out paperwork ahead of time from the New Patients page, which is the difference between a first visit that starts on time and one that starts fifteen minutes late.
